Destin Area Events

There's a celebration going on just about all the time in Destin, making it a fun place to be year-round. Several festivals, including October's Destin Seafood Festival and the month-long Destin Fishing Rodeo, celebrate the Gulf's edible gifts from the sea. There's also the annual Emerald Coast Poker Run, which takes place at the end of Boat Week. Participating boats pay an entrance fee, then travel to designated spots to pick up cards. The boat with the best poker hand at the end of the run is the winner. Proceeds from the poker run go to local children's charities. And every month sees plenty of live concerts, theater and dance performances, wine tastings, food festivals, and arts and crafts shows. Destin Fishing Rodeo

The Destin Fishing Rodeo is a highly anticipated fishing tournament for saltwater anglers. Since 1948, the Rodeo has awarded a variety of prizes to all divisions and attracts huge crowds each year for the fun-filled competition. Weigh ins are everyday at AJ’s Seafood & Oyster Bar from 10 am to 7 pm .

Wednesday Night Concert Series

Set up your lawn chairs or blankets at the Events Plaza Stage and enjoy live, outdoor concerts every Wednesday in October. The line up will include performances from the High Tide Band, Six Piece Suits, the Forrest Williams Band and more. Check the Baytowne Wharf website for more line up details!

In its 17^th year, the Baytowne Beer Festival continues to celebrate the best of local, national and international brews. As you sample delicious beers, you can also browse the merchant’s market and enjoy fun live music.

Festival of the Arts

The Festival of the Arts is an annual, juried art festival that attracts hundreds of premier artists from across the country. Stroll through the village and admire original artwork, stop by some artist demos, listen to live music or grab a bite from one of the many food trucks!

McGuire's Halloween Run

The 28th annual run kicks off the Halloween week at McGuire's Irish Pub in Destin, Florida. Distances includes a 10k run or a 5k run/walk and all athletes can enjoy a free pre-race breakfast and an epic post-race party after crossing the finish line!

Trick or Treat Street

The spooktacular extravaganza returns to the Village of Baytowne Wharf this Halloween! Trick or treaters can travel through the village streets to collect delicious candy and treats while enjoying music from Steve Hall on the main stage. There will also be an epic fireworks show to finish off the night at 8 p.m.

Eggs on the Beach

Eggs on the Beach features a fun and unique culinary competition where all teams must cook on a Big Green Egg to compete for cash and prizes. Attendees can buy taster tickets for access to fantastic treats and unlimited bites, live music and a chance to win a Mini-Max Big Green Egg.

Santa's Arrival Parade and Tree Lighting

Celebrate the arrival of the holiday season with Santa's arrival parade and the lighting of the 50-foot Christmas tree. The parade begins at 7 pm and the evening will also feature activities for all ages with face painting, photo booths and balloon sculpting.

13th Annual Sparkling Wine & Holiday Lights

Stroll down the beautiful streets of Baytowne Wharf and take in the holiday decorations and cheer. The event will feature more than 30 champagnes alongside delicious appetizers, carolers and a choreographed light show to finish off the night.

Sandestin Turkey Trot

Kick of the Thanksgiving holidays with the Sandestin Turkey Trot. The event will include the classic 5K and a 1-mile fun run/walk for all levels along with a fun post-run party featuring football, beer, food and prizes!

Destin Boat Parade

The annual Destin Boat Parade is an epic display of holiday cheer. Hang out along the parade route and watch as a wide array of decorated, dazzling boats travel down the harbor. The route starts on the east side near Boshamps and ends near the Destin Bridge, finishing with a spectacular fireworks display at the HarborWalk Village Main Stage.

Visits with Santa

Brings the kids to HarborWalk Village for a free photo with Santa! Santa will be there every weekend in December up until the 21st to hear the kids holiday wishes. The event will also feature a reindeer scavenger hunt and a special letter writing station.

Baytowne NYE Countdown

Ring in the new year with an exciting night at the Village of Baytowne Wharf! Enjoy family-friendly events from 6-8 p.m. with face painting, kid's activities and the first epic fireworks show of the night. Then, adults can stay and enjoy live music until 1 a.m. on the Events Plaza Stage and another amazing display at midnight. The Countdown is 21+ after 10 p.m.
