Uptown Station Movie Nights
When: Feb 13 - Dec 11, 2010

Uptown Station will hold Saturday night "Movie Nights" beginning February 20. Times vary (check with Uptown Station for exact start times). Two movies will be shown each month, with the exception of February. Movie Nights are free to the public and are shown on a 30-foot inflatable movie screen in Central Park. No pets or glass containers are allowed. Some movie nights may be cancelled or rescheduled due to severe inclement weather.

Tai Chi: An Ancient Practice for Modern Times

10th Annual Hog's Breath Cobia Shootout
When: Feb 23 - April 3, 2010

The 10th Annual Hog's Breath Cobia Shootout is scheduled for April 2 and 3, with a Captain's Meeting on April 1, 6:30pm at Hog's Breath in Destin. Food and drinks will be served. Weigh-in from 5pm - 8pm nightly, at Hog's Breath. Food, drinks and entertainment will be provided. There will be a random daily drawing for any fish weighed in on that day. Winner will receive $1,000.00. A registered angler from winning boat must be present to win. Any size fish qualifies. Entry fee is $550.00 per boat (before March 9); $600 per boat (after March 9). ECAR Women's Tennis Tournament

This year's Emerald Coast Association of Realtor's $25K Women's Challenger will feature its strongest playing field yet, boasting two former Grand Slam Champions and four Wimbeldon semifinalists, including Alexandra Stevenson. Taste of the Bayou

A food tasting and charity auction for the benefit of Okaloosa-Walton Child Care Services. Some of the area's finest restaurants will present a sampling of their special delicacies. The silent auction will feature golf packages, resort vacations, unique artwork, and more. Spring Break Camp
When: Mar 29 - April 9, 2010

End Date: April 9; Duration: 12 Days Spring Wild, the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge's spring break camp for grades 1 - 5 will be held the weeks of March 29 - April 2 and April 5 - 9, 9am - 3pm. Cost is $150 per week with added fees for before / after day care. Family discounts are available. The camp will be held at the Boardwalk, Okaloosa Island. Participants will learn about native wildlife through lectures, games, and hands-on experiences, conduct science experiments and crafts, enjoy living animal encounters and much more.

April - 2010

14th Annual Destin Cobia Tournament presented by HarborWalk Marina
When: April 1 - 30, 2010

This month-long event attracts hundreds of anglers from Northwest Florida. The tournament provides anglers with a great fishing experience and excellent payout. Last year, more than $35,000 in cash and prizes were awarded. The tournament is scheduled to begin with the first Cobia caught and weighed-in by a boat officially entered in the tournament and ends on April 30. Thunderbirds to perform at Eglin AFB Air Show

"75-years of Eglin pride" is the theme of this year's Air Show at Eglin Air Force Base. The Air Force's precision flying team, the Thunderbirds, will perform along with other talented aerial demonstrators at the two-day event. Static displays, food vendors and fun for the entire family. 34th Annual "Saturday in the Park" Heritage Festival

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

End Date: November 14; Duration: 10 Days Stage Crafters Community Theater presents "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." Music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Lyrics by Tim Rice. This delightful Musical features the story of Joseph, the favorite son of Jacob. His brothers, resenting the attention Jacob showers upon Joseph, sell him into Egyptian slavery. While in captivity, his favorable interpretation of the Pharaoh's dreams win him the admiration of the powerful leader. Soon, Joseph becomes one of the most powerful men in Egypt. Its family-friendly storyline, universal themes, and catchy music have made this show one of the most popular titles in musical theatre.
