Memorial Day Weekend Festivities

Where: The Village of Baytowne Wharf
Come kick off your summer at Sandestin for Memorial Day Weekend. Live music begins on Friday and lasts all weekend long. Enjoy bands on the Events Plaza each night. Children’s activities will be featured in the Events Plaza on Sunday night, and then we will light up the sky above the lagoon with a patriotic fireworks show at 9:15 p.m. On Monday, the Village will host a Memorial Day program right before sunset, presented by Sandestin veterans.

Pardi Gras Parade Kick-Off

Red, White and Blue Celebration Kick-Off – Hero Reunion on the Harbor

The Red, White, and Blue Celebration at HarborWalk Village is a weekly honoring of a local hero. The celebrations highlight the efforts of people who go above and beyond to better their community. Enjoy live entertainment, face painting, free kids’ crafts, and a WWII replica flyover. The evening is topped off by a spectacular fireworks display over the Destin Harbor.

Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic

When: June 19 - 23, 2013
Where: Baytowne Marina

The Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic at Sandestin has set the new precedent for world-class sportfishing tournaments along the Gulf Coast. Ranked 5th Richest Tournament in the world by Marlin Magazine, sanctioned by the World Billfish Series and part of the International Game Fish Association Off-shore circuit this event gives serious angling teams their shot at winning a huge pay-off while receiving the royal treatment from the this Destin, Florida fishing event’s hosts and sponsors. With cash categories for dolphin, tuna, and Wahoo as well as individual angler trophies, fishermen have a multitude of ways to stake their claim on Destin fishing tournament history!

The competing anglers are not the only fishing enthusiasts who will hook a good time during the Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic. A treasure trove of family fun includes live entertainment and activities for the kids all weekend long. This momentous event takes place at the Baytowne Marina and The Village of Baytowne Wharf. Admission is free and it is open to the public. Details are subject to change based on weather.

27th Annual Sandestin Triathlon

When: Aug 24, 2013


Over 800 participants will participate in the 27th Annual Dandestin Triathlon for a half-mile swim in the Gulf of Mexico, a 20-mile bike ride along the coast, and a 4-mile run through Sandestin's beach and Bayside community.
