Snapperbown Thanksgiving Classic

The Ultimate Tournament of Champions in Panama City Beach!
Hosted by Edgewater Beach Resort, The Snapperbowl Thanksgiving Classic is the largest running youth football tournament in the United States. The tournament attracts some of the best teams from all over the United States; from California to Philadelphia, Texas and Florida.

2nd Annual Mayors Tree Lighting
When: Nov 27, 2009
Where: Pier Park
Time: 6:00PM. The PCB Mayor will light the 20ft. Christmas tree located in Town Center. Holiday carolers will also perform to help ring in the holiday season.

Santa's Arrival and Breakfast
When: Nov 27, 2009
Where: Pier Park Boardwalk
Time: 10:00AM. Santa will arrive on property to eat cookies and drink hot chocolate with all the children. He will then be available for pictures at the Santa House located on the boardwalk.

Home for the Holidays

Even in semi-tropical climes, people love celebrating the Christmas holidays, and it's no different for Panama City. This annual event is celebrated from Thanksgiving through mid-December and includes carriage rides through downtown, carolers, extended shopping hours and special booths offering cider and cocoa.

Festival of Trees

Where: Marina Civic Center
This annual fundraiser helps ring in the Christmas season through a beautiful display of uniquely designed Christmas trees, wreaths, centerpieces and gingerbread houses. The entries are on display and available for auction benefitting the Rescue Mission's Bethel Village home for women. Dec 1-3, by invitation: There will be an Opening Gala Tues Dec 1 at 6:30 pm. For an invitation to any of these events, contact Neil at 850-769-0783. The General Admission is planned for Friday Dec 4, 5-9 pm. There will be free crafts for kids, a tour of trees, concessions and holiday treats, silent auction, and an entertainment stage. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for kdis. Families get a discount.

Ballroom Dance Competition

ECDC Emerald Coast Dance Competition. Welcoming judges Tony Dovolani and Helena Grinenko. For times, location and spectator tickets call Fred Astaire Dance Studios. Competitions are a regular part of the vast majority of Fred Astaire Dance Studios’ yearly calendars. At National or Regional Competitions, students meet, mingle and compete with other student dancers in order to take home a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award.

2nd Annual New Year's Eve Beach Ball Drop

5:30pm - 1:00am. Family time from 5:30 to 8:30 featuring bounce houses, party favors, street performers, and live radio remotes. NYE countdown celebration begins at 9pm. Streets will be closed to traffic. Live entertainment, prize giveaways and a fireworks display at midnight.
