47th Annual 2014 MBGFC Labor Day Invitational


When: Aug 29 - Sept 1, 2014
Where: Orange Beach Marina Inc. 27075 Marina Road Orange Beach, AL 36561
Captain's Meeting: 8:00 pm. Tournament officially beings and boats may leave after mandatory sign-out from the captain's meeting by captain or owner. Fishing: Weigh Dock opens 5 pm and closes at 9 pm. Fishing: Boats must return under the Perdido Pass Bridge by 8 pm. Admission: Registration: Fri., Aug. 29- 4 pm to 8 pm $250.00 per angler with a minimum of 4 anglers for boats over 32 feet, and 3 anglers for boats 32 feet and under. Registration received by 5 pm, Wednesday, Aug. 27, $200 per angler.

43rd Annual National Shrimp Festival


When: Oct 9, 2014 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM
Where: Main Public Beach, Gulf Shores 101 Gulf Shores Parkway Gulf Shores, AL 36542
avor fresh from the gulf seafood at the 43rd Annual National Shrimp Festival during this four-day event that attracts over 300,000 people. This year the festival will play host to more than 80 hours of musical entertainment featuring a lineup of national, regional and local acts. There will be musical acts to please all palates, including Blues, Motown, Southern Rock, Jazz, Zydeco and Country. Food is another highlight of the festival with 50 local and regional vendors lining the boardwalk at the public beach with mouth watering delights. Due to the generous sponsors, Zatarains's, Organized Seafood Association of Alabama, Alabama Seafood Marketing Commission and Wind Creek Casino, 200 pounds of shrimp per day will be prepared by some of the area's best chefs of their award-winning recipes and given away for people to sample at different tasting times that will be posted on the outside of the sponsor tent.

3rd Annual Alabama Festival of Flavor 2014


When: Oct 18, 2014 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Where: Historic Downtown Foley (Orange Avenue from Hwy. 59 to Alston Street, Alston Street between Orange Avenue and Jessamine Street.)
Come and sample food arranged during cooking competitions, learn about traditional Southern recipe secrets from famous local chefs, attend a food and wine pairing or learn tips on creating your own organic garden at home. While you're enjoying your samples take a stroll through Heritage Park and explore artists and crafters or catch the relaxing sounds of regional jazz performers.

30th Annual Frank Brown International Songwriters' Festival

7th Annual Oyster Cook Off at The Hangout

Held annually on the white sands of the Alabama coastline in the heart of the Gulf Coast, this year’s Oyster Cook-off will bring together celebrity chefs from across the U.S. as well as a long list of well-known Gulf coast restaurateurs.
