Guided Eco-Tours along the Backcountry Trail

The City of Orange Beach is offering guided eco-tours along the nationally recognized Hugh Branyon Backcountry Trail. During the 2-hour golf cart tour, individuals learn about the the area’s pristine woodlands and natural habitats. Price: Each tour cost $15.00 per person with a limit of five people per tour. Fairhope's 58th Annual Arts and Crafts Festival
When: Mar 19 - 21, 2010
Where: On the streets of Downtown Fairhope along the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay. Price: Free to public.
Date: 3/19/2010 - 3/21/2010 Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Over 200 exhibitors from throughout the nation will bring their best works to show and sell at this prestigious juried show. Live entertainment will be going on throughout the three-day event and unique cuisine will be served up in the food court. It all takes place on the streets of beautiful downtown Fairhope, Alabama. BRATS will offer a shuttle service from the Plantation Pointe Shopping Center, Eastern Shore Village Shopping Center and Ecor Rouge Place. All of the parking is free and the locations are less than a five-minute ride away. The shuttle ride costs only $1.

33rd Annual Azalea Trail Run

For three decades, the world’s fastest distance runners have come to compete in Mobile Bay's famous ten kilometer race. Annually, selected as one of the nation’s top 25 road races by national publications such as “Runners World” and “Running Times,” the Azalea Trail Run attracts nearly 10,000 participants ready to go the distance. Pensacola Jazzfest 2010

Date: 4/10/2010 - 4/11/2010 Price: Free to public. Parking is available on nearby streets, and valet parking is available for just $5 at the corner of Alcaniz and Government Streets. With its beautiful live oaks and historic surroundings, Seville Square Park offers a perfect springtime setting for the Pensacola JazzFest. A state-of-the-art sound system brings the music to wherever you are in the park. In addition to the great music lineup, food, drinks and jazz merchandise will be offered for sale at reasonable prices. JSOP will have tents and volunteers set up for purchase of JazzFest posters, a variety of jazzy shirts and memorabilia, plus beer and wine and soft drinks (please note that the JSOP merchandise sales help support the festival). In addition, local area venders will offer some tasty food options for the hungry jazz listeners. Young people are always welcome to enjoy themselves at the play area and special offerings on the Youth Stage. Some seating is provided, but your favorite reclining lawn chair will make it just right. Please do not bring your pet dog, however, since Pensacola city ordnance prohibits dogs in the park. In addition, for those who wish a shorter walk to the park, valet parking for a nominal fee will be available in front of Dharma Blue restaurant. JSOP invites you come and enjoy two afternoons of great jazz in a beautiful place.

Gulf Coast Zydeco Music and Crawfish Festival

Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 14, for dance instruction and the bands will begin playing at 7:00 p.m. and doors will open at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, for dance instruction and the bands will begin playing at 2:00 p.m. The "Gulf Coast Zydeco Music & Crawfish Festival" is a festival that presents some of the best Zydeco dance bands that lower Louisiana has to offer. In addition to the bands, there will be Zydeco dancers from around the country and Zydeco dance instructors ready to teach you how to Zydeco two-step! That's not all. The great array of food will feature a good ol' fashioned "crawfish boil" as well as other creole and cajun dishes from Naman's Catering. The 6th Annual Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival

Middle School Students. Join the Sea Lab team for beach scavenger hunts, ghost crab crawls, marsh mushing and collection trips aboard our research vessel A.E. Verrill. The group will visit a historic civil war fort and travel to another small island off the coast of Dauphin Island to see nesting sea birds and collect shells. This exciting and educational residential program instills a basic understanding of marine science with lots of hands-on activities. There are only 30 slots for each one-week program, so sign up early. Designed for rising 7th, 8th & 9th grade students.

Gulf Coast’s Premier 4th of July Celebration at The Wharf
