 By: Beachbums - Louisiana Date Posted: July 3, 2009 Fun in the SunThis was our first stay at Gulf Shores Plantation. We stayed in a condo and it was VERY clean and stocked with everything we needed. I think the only thing that we needed was paper towels so this shows that it was properly stocked. The staff at Gulf Shores was very friendly and provided prompt service. The amenties were enjoyed by all. The beach of course was SO enjoyable. We are already planning our next stay at the same location. Highly recommended. Great eats were Tacky Shack 2 in Foley & Sea-n-Suds in Gulf Shores. Cold Mil Fleet was an excellent choice for a dolphin cruise. We saw MANY dolphins three different times on the same boat ride. The staff was exceptional. A lady told me that it was her 4th trip aboard Cold Mil Fleet & after the ride, I see why. Also, in Foley there is a place that offers fresh seafood. We purchased shrimp and boiled them. They were HUGE---Fresh Market Seafood. I wish I had checked it out at the start of the vacation rather than the last night. That market will be at the top of next summer's list.
Gulf Shores Plantation is a beachfront resort located approximately 13 miles west of Gulf Shores near Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge and Ft. Morgan. The area is known for world-class fishing, golf, fine restaurants and assortment of shopping.
Property features secured entrance access, indoor and outdoor pools, lighted tennis courts, basketball and shuffleboard courts, game rooms, barbeque grills, Jacuzzis and sauna. Kiva Dunes Golf Course is next door.
Units are fully-furnished and well maintained for your enjoyment. Kitchens are equipped major appliances, microwave, blender, coffee maker, toaster, dishes and utensils. Plantation Palms units have a washer/dryer. All units have cable TV, DVD, bed and bath linens and wireless Internet access.
