Jeff Dunham - Controlled Chaos

Candlelight Tours


When: Feb 11, 2012 5:00 PM - 7:15 PM
Where: Fort Barrancas, Pensacola Naval Air Station

Reservations needed.

Costumed interpreters will present the history of Pensacola during the Civil War at different stations inside Fort Barrancas. Groups of 30 visitors will depart the Fort Barrancas Visitor Center every 15 minutes for the hour-long tour. Although the fort will be lighted with candles, flashlights are allowed. The entrance to the fort includes a steep 90-yard walkway and visitors must use narrow staircases to access different fort levels. Dress appropriately for the evening weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Parking is limited so car-pooling is recommended. Visitors should enter the Naval Air Station through the main gate on Navy Boulevard.

Krewe of Lafitte Mardi Gras Parade

Pensacola Grand Mardi Gras Parade

One of the country's original celebration sites, Pensacola hosts this family-oriented Mardi Gras parade in the historical downtown area. Crowds catch beads, doubloons and moonpies galore as they are thrown from floats!

Krewe of Wrecks Mardi Gras Parade


When: Feb 19, 2012
Where: Pensacola Beach, Pensacola Beach

Mardi Gras parade with an island atmosphere! The Krewe of Wrecks Parade will have the best floats throwing beads, candy and doubloons. No one leaves the island beadless! After parade parties are everywhere and the biggest is on the boardwalk, at the shell, where the paraders wait for the results of the judges and trophies to be awarded. Of couse the music is playing and partiers are dancing!

Smokin' In The Square BBQ Cookoff


When: Mar 2 - 4, 2012
Where: Seville Square, Government & Alcaniz Sts, Pensacola

Professional barbecue teams from around the U.S. will gather to compete at the first barbecue contest locally to be sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society (KSBS). Professional teams will be competing for prize money and points. Local barbecue enthusiasts also will be competing for prize money and bragging rights in the Backyard competition. Great family fun, entertainment, and food. Proceeds go to local charities.
