A Nice Stay.We had a really nice stay at this establishment. The staff is very courteous. The rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable except the comforters are very itchy on the inside. It woke me a couple of times when I had the covers messed up. The shower power is great and the tub was so clean I even felt it was ok to bathe in. The balcony is shared (no barriers between.) I didn't like that but I can live with it. It's just awkward to try to sit and enjoy the ocean with strangers sitting right beside you. We had a minor issue with the smoke alarm. We were smoking in a "smoking designated room" and the fire alarm went off and would not stop. The desk clerk had to come up and physically detach it from the system. The view is great but the ocean is a pretty good walk compared to other beachfront hotels I've stayed in. The pool area is clean and well-maintained. Actually, the entire property is well-maintained. There was a deputy working security there on Saturday night. That made me feel very safe even though there seemed to be no need for him. The parking and stairs/elevator were all very convenient. I read a review on another website regarding the Days Inn that said "everything you need is in walking distance." I disagree. About the only thing in MY walking distance was a liquor store. We had done a lot of walking already during the day and the last thing I wanted to do was walk a half mile or mile for my supper. All in all, I was very pleased with our accommodations. The rates were very low compared with other places. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
