Channel View Cottage

We had a great vacation staying in the cottage, it had everything we needed. Location was perfect, would go back again. Owners did a great job setting up the cottage for vacationers

The property description was partially accurate, with the house behind you could not actually see the sunrise.
The property was surface clean but as you stayed there a week you begin to see that it was never really deep cleaned.
The Manager was great and acted quickly when we called about a problem with toilet.
My husband and I both have knee and back problems and the sofa and toilet were very difficult to get up from. The bathroom did have a new shower which was nice. But where the sink was there was approximately 3-4 inches of space that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. There was big dust balls coming out of heat vents. In the kitchen I cleaned out the crumbs inside as it hadn’t been and wiped the outsides as it wasn’t clean. The walls over kitchen counter hadn’t been wiped there were splatters. I cleaned anything I used before using. Did not use there coffee pots as we had our own.
I would not recommend.
We did sightseeing it’s so beautiful in the area. We went to Fisherman’s Wharf Restaurant the first morning never went back. My husband had an omelet it was overcooked and dry I had eggs and bacon overcooked. We each had coffee the bill was $40.00 which would have been fine if the food was good.
We went to Sue’s Cobscook Bay Cafe a small place but the food was delicious and service was friendly and fast.

I travelled as a single person and the property was perfect for me. check in and out was a breeze and the owner was very responsive and available. I had everything that I needed for a comfortable stay. the property was 5 minutes from town and 5 minutes to Quoddy head. the only issue is that the bedrooms are connected, which is fine for kids, but might be awkward for two couples.

A friend and I spent the weekend exploring our home state. We decided on the Lubec area. Channel View Cottage did not disappoint. The water view and location could not be beat. Quiet home offering all the necessities we needed. I would recommend anyone from near or far to check out this cottage and the surrounding area.

Firstly, Kelly the property manager was amazing when I had a credit card issue and I was able to talk to her over the phone to clear things up. She was so kind and helpful. Second, the sweet little house was very clean, they must have an excellent cleaning person!
Lastly the house and location were great. The little yard was just the thing for our kids and the view to the water incredible. Good vibes in the cozy little house. Easy location close to everything you need and everything to do. We wish we could have stayed longer.
