Magnolia House 505 at Destin Pointe Resort

We love staying at Destin Pointe. The views and amenities are wonderful. So much that we have been going there for 35 years. But unit 505 needs a kitchen and bathroom remodel and new living room blinds. They have never been updated in 35 years. Also once again there was a problem with the door code not working upon arrival. This is very difficult after traveling and arriving in tge dark. This common error needs to be fixed. Ever since there have been door codes we have had to spend up to an hour on the phone maybe 6 times trying to get in. And this year, our code stopped working at 4pm the day before our checkout. Though that issue needs to be fixed and is a disappointment, we still love Magnolia House.

Destin Pointe VR staff were awesome. Every concern was addressed quickly. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and kept super clean. We will rent again. 505 is showing its age and needs a refresh. We plan to check out other units next time.

We couldn't get in using the code that was sent to us and had to text and call to get in. This unit is old and tired and needs a major face lift. We had friends staying in two other units that were updated. Before seeing their units, I told my husband that we would not be coming back. Next time I will choose better. The bathroom and kitchen need a complete redo. Furniture needs updating. Outdoor furniture too. Loved the view and the pools at the resort.Also- love the gated community and security.

The people at Destin Pointe Reality are absolutely outstanding! They are positive, transparent and professional. They are our #1 when traveling and have used them many, many times because of their work ethic!

My daughter and I rented for a girls trip and had the best time! Great view, nice location and Destin Pointe was beautiful with 3 pools, nice distance to beach, snorkeling, and all the shopping and restaurants you could need. Johnnny at the gate was a great greeter and helped us out a couple times and was very patient. The property management group also checked in on us to make sure everything was good with our stay. Would defintiely stay again!

Overall a nice unit, great view! The patio needs more furniture, preferably the bar stool higher chairs to see over the railing at the gorgeous sunsets. Kitchen and BR cabinets def need upgrading. The furnishings and flooring are great. Blinds in the BR are broken, however, and the dryer makes a constant squeak when in use. The amenities on the website did not match what was in the unit (no Keurig or tall chairs on deck). Otherwise, we had a wonderful visit and the staff are the BEST!!

We live Magnolia House and wouldn’t stay anywhere else but we need to switch units after 20 years of history with it - in all that time it’s never had any TLC or updates

A little hike to the beach
Great condo with amazing views

Huge T.V. with plenty of channels
Wonder pool with hot tub
Easy communication with the friendly staff
Safe area
Cons:
Bed was hard
A little hard to locate the condo building at first.
No restaurants in walking distance
Difficult renting a bike
