Destin Area Events

There's a celebration going on just about all the time in Destin, making it a fun place to be year-round. Several festivals, including October's Destin Seafood Festival and the month-long Destin Fishing Rodeo, celebrate the Gulf's edible gifts from the sea. There's also the annual Emerald Coast Poker Run, which takes place at the end of Boat Week. Participating boats pay an entrance fee, then travel to designated spots to pick up cards. The boat with the best poker hand at the end of the run is the winner. Proceeds from the poker run go to local children's charities. And every month sees plenty of live concerts, theater and dance performances, wine tastings, food festivals, and arts and crafts shows. ArtsQuest Fine Arts and Music Festival

ArtsQuest is a juried art show open to the public featuring original art from more-than 100 national artists. Attendees have the opportunity to view and purchase the unique, award-winning pieces and a $5 admission donation is requested. In its 36th year, the festival will also be home to a variety of activities including interactive public art projects, art activities for kids and live music.

Baytowne's 1st Annual Derby

Lionfish Festival

The Lionfish Festival celebrates efforts to protect local reefs while also bringing the community together with activities including lionfish tastings, conservation and art displays, and more. Come enjoy fresh seafood and educational exhibits with live entertainment!

The 13th Annual Tequila and Taco Fest

In it's 13th year, the annual Tequila and Taco Fest continues to celebrate amazing food and drink. Get your tickets and try out tacos or tequila from over 30 vendors competing for the ultimate title of "Best Tacos on the Emerald Coast." The ticketed event also includes a variety of fun activities including face painting, live music, a tortilla tossing contest and more.

Perfect Hues: Baytowne Wharf Art Fest

The annual Baytowne Art Walk is returning this Labor Day weekend with a wide variety of art from both local and regional artists. The art walk will be accompanied by live music and fireworks over the lagoon. Come enjoy this festive, family-friendly atmosphere and see paintings, jewelry, sculpture, and photography.

Destin Fishing Rodeo

The Destin Fishing Rodeo is a highly anticipated fishing tournament for saltwater anglers. Since 1948, the Rodeo has awarded a variety of prizes to all divisions and attracts huge crowds each year for the fun-filled competition. Weigh ins are everyday at AJ’s Seafood & Oyster Bar from 10 am to 7 pm .
