The Audubon Sanctuary is a wildlife refuge we provide that is free to the public during daylight hours (camping, fires, fishing, etc., are not allowed.) We do provide miles of beautiful walking trails including some with handicap boardwalks and an approximate 1/2 mile nature interpretive trail loop with signs identifing birds, trees, reptiles, etc. The Sanctuary includes a fresh water lake, swamp, coastal dune system and undeveloped gulf beaches. For those wishing to camp, this site borders our Dauphin Island Campground and has direct connections to the trail system.
