Every was great except for the day we were leaving the elevator stopped working and we had to walk everything down the stairs. Condo was clean. Lots of room. Continently located to lots of popular places.

Overall, Castaways is a nice complex in a great location. The complex is older and shows some wear and tear. Our unit was clean and comfortable. Castaways and the surrounding condo units are relatively small resulting in less crowding on the beach. The pool and pool deck are small but it wasn’t too crowded on the days we were there.

We were thankful to have a nice condo to hang out in because the week we picked to vacation there were storms and tornadoes in the area for days. Thankfully it cleared up before we left. It was a short walk to our beach spot, so that was nice as well. I would recommend this place if you need a lot of room.

The check in process was quick and easy. The condo.itself was gorgeous. It was spacious, clean, great view and conveniently located to entertainment and food. Don't let the outside of the building scare you. It looks.like it could use some maintenance but the pool.area, grills, etc were clean and kept.

It was absolutely amazing. The room was so nice and clean. The pool was always nice and never just to many people in it. The only thing I didn’t care for was the parking. It was so hard to get in and out their it took a good 20 minutes to get out the morning we left. Other than that it was amazing and very happy with it!

The condo was PERFECT for us. We had several age ranges so, from the beach access to the ability to sit on the balcony, everyone in our group was able to get their fill of the beach and wonderful (sometimes rainy) weather. Loved the updates in the kitchen and plenty of sitting area spaces for relaxing. We loved every minute of our stay!

I have owned condos in Gulf Shores for 30 years and have been an active participant in the upkeep and maintenance of the property. This unit has clearly been neglected by the owner.
Front door has large perimeter gaps and dead bolt does not engage easily; bathroom towel bars fall off easily; front bedroom windows were tiny; no window from master bedroom to outdoors - only a clearstory; patio door glass was filthy; frig door seal was not tight and allowed moisture to accumulate inside of frig and ice cycles to form; kitchen marginally furnished - no electric skillets, no rubber spatulas, no left-over containers; internet router is locked away and when it went down 2 days into our stay, we could not reset it and no one showed up to assist; no screens on any windows or doors; hvac unit was noisy; parking lot very tight. Other than that, the place was great.

I would recommend this condo. Although the building is older, the condo itself is modern and VERY clean. The location is great. It’s within walking distance of restaurants and shopping if needed. The beach is awesome.

We had an awesome girls trip for my birthday. It was everything we needed and centrally located with lots of food options. Our beach view was great and we enjoyed the balcony. Highly recommended!

It is always a joy to return to the Gulf! Our condo was nice! Because we do this so often I do have a few suggestions! No complaints, just suggestions. It would be nice to have a rug of some sort by the front door and the balcony! While knowing we are at the beach it is nice to not always feel sand under our feet! I also think it would cut down on the amount that travels in the condo. It does not have to be expensive! I would probably even reasoned cheaper area rugs under beds. Again I realize beach =sand, but not fun in bed! The furniture and decor was beautiful! In was also very appreciative of the beach chair in the. Loser! I also would recommend some better furniture on the balcony area! In the future I’ve are hoping to become condo owners and these are just things I am making note of! I also didn’t see a vacuum cleaner but if you would have a cheap one, it would be nice for us that do like to leave the place a little tidied! Overall, loved the condo and visit! If you ever decide to sell let us know! ��

The location is great and the condo is decorated very nice. The den, kitchen and eating area are very large and have plenty of seating. The balcony had 2 cheap chairs on it which was very disappointing. We were provided with 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and no paper towels in the kitchen. The floors were very dirty...our feet were black from walking around the first night. They felt very oily/sticky and need of super deep clean.The check in/out process was fine, but annoying that you have to pick up an actual physical key (and keep up with it all week!) I would highly suggest putting a keypad on the door for your guest's convenience. We had an issue with a blown circuit (can't run 2 hairdryers at the same time) and the circuit board is in the LOCKED owners closet...not a wise choice. We had to wait over an hour for maintenance to come fix it. All in all, it is a nice condo. Put some nice patio furniture on the balcony and clean those floors and I'd come back.
