The view from this condo is fantastic. We are used to staying in a house and not a condo, so please consider that as you read this review. The condo itself was nice. There is no entry into the condo itself. The door opens into the refrigerator, so to get to the 2nd bedroom means stepping over all of the shoes and sand that is tracked in. The kitchen was not well stocked. We ended up going out to buy a pan, because the pan they had was all scratched up and likely leaching chemicals into the food. The washer was dirty, so I had to clean that out before we could try getting a load of laundry clean. We went out and bought a mop so we could clean the floors. The coffee pot was old, but worked. There is no beach in front of the condo left. This was our biggest disappointment! We had to walk to the far side of the unit and climb a hill to find a spot to sit by the ocean. We have stayed in Gulf Shores many times with a beautiful beach, and the condos to our right and left had beach. But this condo did not. If you're going for the beach, this is not your condo. We did not use the pool area, but it appeared well kept. The view from the deck was nice, but we would not stay here again.

Condo was amazing. Beautifully furnished. Had everything we needed. Ample space and breath taking views. Beach was gorgeous. Walk in pool was great. Check in and check were very easy. Would definitely stay again.

We rented this condo last year and had a wonderful experience. I decided to rent again this year and while the condo itself was great again the experience was not so great at all. We arrived and was told we were not allowed on the beach in front of the condominium because they were working on building up the beach and we had to drive to the public access beach a mile away. I completely understand but as much as I paid it would’ve been nice to know before we arrived. I would’ve rented something cheaper and driven to the beach ��. Also a maintenance man (which he did knock twice but it sounded like someone was possibly knocking on another door and we were both laying down) let himself in just to shine a flashlight on the hot water heater and tell me the owner is thinking about replacing it. It took him 10 seconds to do that and didn’t fix anything. At the very least text my phone and say “hey we need to look at this hot water heater there’s a problem “ We would’ve been fine with accommodating him. We don’t know anyone here and was pretty freaked out by someone just coming in on us. As far as the check in/out process it was great. I’m not sure if I want to come back next year. I really thought I found a vacation spot we would want to come back to every year around this time but I’m not so sure anymore. We honeymooned in Gulf Shores 23 years ago and last year we loved it. I really hoped that now that we have an empty nest we could come back and enjoy a few days on the beach every year on our anniversary in one place but im wondering if I don’t need to look elsewhere after this. ��

We have now stayed at Ocean House 3 times. We love the fact it is just steps from the ocean. It has a bathroom by the pool / ocean which is convenient for the little ones. The master bedroom had a comfortable mattress. The staff was very friendly.

We enjoyed the condo! We spent a lot of time on the balcony enjoying the sound of the ocean. There was always a nice breeze coming off of the ocean so it was never too hot to be sitting outside. Small store close by for essentials. Enjoyed all the sights.
Would have been nice to just have a code to enter to get into the condo rather than carrying a key and having to pick up the key and packet at a different location just was an extra step after a long day of traveling.

Enjoyed our stay immensely. Great location right on the gulf. Very comfortable accommodations. Centrally located & easy to go to many attractions. Floors could have used a good scrubbing as our feet always seemed dirty. We always removed our shoes.

We loved the location and view! Overall a great getaway and close to food, drinks, etc. minor needs: balcony door locks need some TLC and smaller dressers in the back bedroom for more walking space. Property was well maintained. Great customer service from property mgmt too.

This is probably one of the better condos in this building. Everything was clean and looked newly updated, new appliances which was a perk. The decor was really beachy and cute. I loved the patio furniture, that was one of the reasons why I booked with this particular unit. I actually really liked being on the 3rd floor, the view was fantastic. Overall very positive experience with this unit, I would book this one again. The only negative I have is that I feel the security is way too strict on the whole wearing a bracelet thing to the point of putting off a hostile vibe, we got asked where our bracelets were just walking to our car in the parking lot (which had a parking pass), so that was a bit much and got annoying very quickly.

Enjoyed the weekend at The Ocean House complex. Loved the condo- beautifully decorated, comfortable, great access to the pool and the beach. Would rent here again, for sure!!

It was good but I am not sure that I would stay at this condo again, I thought that it was ridiculous that the parking pass was 30.00 and it was only 20.00 in the summer and then one day they pressured washed the entire pool area which was loud and unable to enjoy the balcony and the pool was closed off and the hot tubs were closed and horrible

Beds are very comfortable. Kitchen has everything. Sides of fridge are rusting, but appears to be cosmetic. Some art was in the drawer, but what was on the wall was pleasing. Could use a few more towels in bath, but plenty of kitchen towels.balcony is large with decent furniture, but railings and doors show rust. Comfortable living area with good sofa and chairs with ottoman, end tables and coffee table. Master shower was very slow to drain, but good hot water and water pressure. Pool was unavailable- seems it fills up with any surge and slow to get it operational again? Maybe they wait out the hurricane season before they refill it?

For a weekend getaway, we regularly use Gulf Shores Rentals and have not been disappointed before now. Although the location was ideal, the master bed felt like concrete and caused my husband to sleep on the couch after the first night. Two of the 4 stove-top burners would not work, so cooking seafood was very difficult. Finally, when we washed our clothes on our last evening, we discovered the dryer was not working so we carried damp clothes home. Since we were checking out the next morning, we made a point to let the rental agent know about our disappointing stay.

We had a great time. The condo should do some updating and the washer and dryer should be fixed or replaced. They were both really loud and the dryer would take at least 3-4 cycles to dry clothes. The property grounds were well taken care of. The weather and ocean were great.
