Chanticleer South is the most recent incarnation of acclaimed chef Jean-Charles Berruet. After 35 years of winning accolades and awards for his internationally-known Chanticleer restaurant on Nantucket Island, Berruet decided it was time to step down and downsize. Now living life on a more intimate scale, he is clearly in his element—close to nature and daily pursuing his passions. As chef-proprietor of Chanticleer South in Islamorada, he is rediscovering the joys of cooking.
