Summer Happenings at HarborWalk Village

by S. Lynne on May 20th, 2013

Pardi Gras

The good times never stop rolling at Pardi Gras. The annual HarborWalk Village celebration, billed as “a little bit of New Orleans every Tuesday night all summer long,” kicks off this year on May 28. Festivities include parades, live jazz by the Village Brass Band, jugglers, dancers, street performers, stilt walkers, floats, and beads – in short, everything you’d expect from Mardi Gras in the Big Easy but suitable for the whole family. The fun lasts from 6 to 10 p.m.

The Red, White, and Blue Celebration with Fireworks over Destin Harbor

The HarborWalk summer special events continue on Thursday, May 30, with the return of the Red, White, and Blue Celebration. This popular weekly event honors local heroes – people who go above and beyond to better the Destin community. Family friendly, the Red, White, and Blue Celebration features live entertainment, street performers, kids’ crafts, and face painting. The evening ends with a spectacular fireworks display over Destin Harbor. Hours for the celebration are 6 to 9 p.m.

Rock the Docks

Enjoy a live concert every Saturday night starting June 1. Performances take place at the HarborWalk Village stage from 7 to 9 p.m.

Admission to all three events is free. For more information, call 850-424-0600.
