The home itself has a relaxing, beachy ambiance created by coast-inspired decor, vibrant, tropical colors, and sweeping views from a screened-in porch. Lounge on the living area's couch or lime green chair to watch a DVD, movie from your Netflix account, or catch up on a favorite cable series during a downpour, or mix a frozen daiquiri and enjoy while listening to the rain's pitter-patter on the porch.

Quickly whip up fresh ceviche, blackened grouper, of other local fare using stainless steel appliances in the compact yet well-stocked kitchen. If you're an outdoors enthusiast and have some time for a longer trip, check out the 720,000-acre Big Cypress National Preserve (61 miles south), home to alligators, herons, raccoons, muskrats, and many more swampland species.
