Due South Fishing II is a family-owned and operated charter service providing private fishing excursions out of Gulf Shores, Alabama. Led by Captain Randy Reese alongside a crew that includes his wife Sandy and daughter Laci, the company operates a 28-foot center console. Trip durations are structured to accommodate different schedules, offering 3-hour afternoon nearshore trips, 4-hour morning rig excursions, and extended 5- to 6-hour offshore reef trips. Because bookings are entirely private, group sizes typically range from single anglers up to five passengers.
The charter targets seasonal species across the bays, oil rigs, and wrecks of the Alabama Gulf Coast. Depending on the time of year and distance offshore, passengers fish for red snapper, vermilion snapper, king mackerel, cobia, jack crevalle, spadefish, and sheepshead using techniques such as bottom fishing, trolling, and light tackle drift fishing. The standard charter rate covers all necessary equipment, including rods, reels, tackle, artificial lures, and live or frozen bait, as well as mandatory Alabama recreational fishing licenses. After each trip, the crew provides complimentary fish cleaning, filleting, and bagging services at the dock. Passengers are responsible for bringing their own food, beverages, and non-spray sunscreen.
