Hanalei Happy Place Bungalow

The location was perfect, a short walk into town, and a few blocks from the beach. We loved that we didn’t need to drive anywhere once we arrived. The place itself was clean, the hosts were responsive, and it had a comfy bed and the kitchen was great! This was my second time staying with Makana and I will definitely stay with them again.

Cozy, well laid out so it felt bigger than it was, everything up to date and clean as a whistle. Excellent signage and location and supplies for beach. Easy in/out and great locations, walk to town or beach yet quiet street felt very private.

Loved the happy place bungalow. Can't say enough good things about this place. Lovely charm, great location, extremely comfortable bed...this was the perfect place for our week on the north shore. Will definitely be coming back!

My wife and I recently enjoyed our stay in Hanalei at "Happy place". This is an excellent location and we walked to the beach and town easily several times. This really added to the Hanalei experience that we had not had form past stays further from town. The one room studio was very well appointed, clean and comfortable. The only disappointment was the lack of an outdoor sitting area to enjoy that experience in the mornings/evenings. That could be accommodated by building a small patio behind the bungalow in a grassy area. We brough chairs back there but felt like we were sitting in the owner's backyard (they were never home, so no issue).

Great location, fun place that has everything you need and more. The bungalow was clean and fresh. The host was terrific above and beyond helpful. The beach gear was a huge bonus..

Property as described. There was a slow running toilet for which management had arranged to have plumber arrive the first full day of the stay. Minor inconvenience that was repaired well. Cleaners at mid stay were friendly and did excellent work. The property is easy walk to the beach and restaurants. Easy to park a car and get anywhere on the island. I enjoyed being on the north shore which felt less busy than other places, although the restaurants did get busy at typical times. Would stay here again.
