Cruise through the beautiful waters of Pine Island Sound and discover the charm of Cabbage Key, one of Southwest Florida’s most iconic hidden islands. Departing from Captiva Island with Captiva Cruises, this relaxing excursion offers breathtaking waterfront views, local wildlife, and the laid-back atmosphere that makes “Old Florida” so special.
Believed to be the inspiration behind Jimmy Buffett’s famous song “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” Cabbage Key is home to a historic inn and restaurant built in 1938 by American playwright Mary Roberts Rinehart. The restaurant is known for its panoramic views, fresh seafood, legendary cheeseburgers, desserts, and walls covered in signed dollar bills. Guests can also enjoy a short nature trail and climb the island’s water tower for incredible views of Pine Island Sound.
Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure for check-in at McCarthy’s Marina on Captiva Island. Parking is available for $5 per vehicle and is valid for the duration of your cruise. Because parking is limited, guests are encouraged to reserve parking ahead of time.
Lunch is available for purchase at the island restaurant.
