Forgotten Coast Outdoors offers private inshore, nearshore, flats, and backcountry fishing charters throughout the waters surrounding St. George Island, Apalachicola Bay, and the Apalachicola River. Guided by Captain Marcus Stratton, a fourth-generation local angler, the charter accommodates up to four passengers per excursion. Trips are conducted on a 24-foot vessel equipped with specialized marine electronics, GPS tracking, a fishfinder, an integrated live bait well, and outriggers for seasonal trolling. Anglers can choose between four-hour half-day or six-hour full-day trips, with morning and afternoon departure options available daily.
The charter utilizes light tackle for several fishing techniques, including bottom fishing, spinning, sight casting, and seasonal flounder gigging. Depending on migration patterns, regional seasons, and state angling regulations, targeted species include Speckled Seatrout, Southern Redfish, Flounder, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Tripletail, and Mangrove Snapper. Bookings with Forgotten Coast Outdoors include all required Florida state saltwater fishing licenses, Penn and Shimano rods, reels, tackle, lures, and fresh live bait caught by the captain prior to departure. At the conclusion of the trip, the crew provides complimentary fish cleaning, filleting, and bagging services for all legal catches.
