The waters surrounding St. George Island are a fisherman's dream. You’re likely to catch sheepshead, speckled trout, flounder, whiting, redfish, shark and tripletail in Apalachicola Bay while a fishing trip in the Gulf will turn up snapper, grouper, amberjack, sea bass, mackerel, mahi-mahi, cobia and sharks. Depending on your tastes, there are several fishing options in the area from simply casting a rod from the shore to chartering a boat and heading out to sea.
